Overheard at Work

Two women arriving in the lobby, while brushing the wet snow off:

Woman #1: "You certainly look all Springtime-y."

Woman #2: "Yeah, I don't even look at the forecast any more. I just dress hopefully, and then step outside and say, 'Oh, crap!'."

Heh. I had a girlfriend who did that once except she dressed for where she hoped I was going to take her. It back fired when she dressed for dinner and I took her kayaking :)

So you're saying she was drenched with enthusiasm? :^)

Or visibly moist due to my mere presence :)

I think our thirst for details has been quenched.

Let's let here keep dressing hopefully. She'll be the only one freezing her butt off, lol......

One must dress accordingly there, you never know when you'll be faced with a problem and stuck outside.

Back in the day, Sandy, we had a saying here: "we don't 'put up' with the cold, we protect ourselves from it."

She's failing to do that. :)

LOL, and she actually LIVES in Alaska???

Rev. Paul said...

Yep - apparently trying to force break-up by force of willpower. :)

You really heard this?!

Delightful. Optimists are wonderful . . . and doubly so when they can make light of their dashed hopes.

Yes, Cathy, in the lobby of my building. And I agree: a positive attitude goes a long way. :)
