Domestic Disturbance – Officers responded to a residence wherein a mother wished to have her adult son evicted because he had been “in her face.” An officer advised the woman she could not force her son to leave his home. The mother expressed her displeasure by slamming the door in the officer’s face.
DUI – An officer investigating a possibly intoxicated driver found the irate and extremely aggressive suspect driver at a residence, into which the suspect retreated.
Taxi Violation – Driver reported a taxi driver had pulled out in front of her. The taxi driver said the other driver was going too fast. An officer advised the taxi driver to take more care with her driving.
Suspicious Person/Activity – Man from Texas reported he was receiving love letters from a woman he had befriended at the Grand Aleutian Hotel, and the letters were upsetting his wife. The Texan asked for assistance obtaining a restraining order against his former friend, and was advised to contact the court for further information.
Assault – Officer investigated an allegation that a man injured in a fall may have been assaulted. The patient denied any intentional wrong-doing and said he and his friends were wrestling and he slipped while trying to get away from one of them.
MVA- Damage – Officers responded to a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle accident. Driver had accidently driven off the side of the road directly into a fire hydrant and accompanying metal safety poles. The hydrant, the poles and the truck were severely damaged.
Welfare Check – Caller reported that he wanted his adult sons removed from his house for drinking inside the house after being told not to. After being advised that the police could not remove known residents from their place of residence, the caller asked for a welfare check on his sons. They were found to be well, albeit intoxicated.
