About Iron Man 3...

Old NFO asked me to review it, since my daughters took me on Saturday as a late birthday present.

We saw it in 3D at the IMAX theater, so your mileage may vary.

The film opens with a voice-over narrative and a flashback which works well for this genre. There are some amazing special effects, more Col. Rhodes participation, and ... let's just say you can tell that Ms. Paltrow spent a lot of time at the gym.

Robert Downey Jr. is still impressive and enjoyable, and turns in another strong performance as the Tony Stark character is forced into hiding without his arsenal of high tech toys. The supporting cast is rock-solid, as well.

One of my favorite bits is a young boy who provides driving directions for Tony Stark; the boy's name is Thomas Thomas ("Tom Tom", anyone?). Stark's interaction with the kid is fun, too.

It's every bit as good a story as the first film, and much better than #2. There's also a cameo from an "Avengers" co-star which you'll have to wait for. And the villain isn't who ... or what ... you think.

Every dollar spent on production is right up there on the screen, and it's worth every cent you pay to get in.

Yeah but you didn't answer a critical question - does Robert Downey Jr take his shirt off?
