Fall Colors in Alaska

Fall colors contrast with snowy summits in a view from the South Fork Eagle River valley, a few miles north of Anchorage (from the link at the Anchorage Daily News website, below)


It won't be long now before the leaves come down in a hurry; there's snow in the forecast again, too.

Chickenmom, they're impressive up close. I kept thinking how heavy all that ice is, and didn't want to get too close.
