Let's see ... 46 degrees at 8am in mid-October. Too warm for this year, so ... check. 90% of heavy rain today ... check. Three and a half inches of rain above average since Sept. 1st ... check.
Yep, it's all part of the 50% accuracy rating that they claim for themselves. You know, the half of the forecast where they tell you what happened yesterday.
Our tax dollars at work!

Since it's going to be wet & windy today, I guess I'll get into the "honey do" list. Thankfully, the list is short.

One more thing: I know that many no longer believe that God issues prophecies to the Church (the whole body of believers). If you're among them, no worries.
But I believe that He does, and there are some folks who receive words from the Lord on a fairly regular basis. When history shows that the words received are accurate, then we can take a new prophecy from that person with a fairly level of confidence.
One such person whom I trust to be an accurate messenger has received a warning dream which he believes to be from God. I'm going to post it here, and you're free to make of it what you will; but if you're one who prays, then I ask you to prayerfully consider the words, and pray accordingly.
He's not asking anyone to do anything weird ... just for concerned people to pray for the safety and protection of the United States. For if there has ever been one thing that most of us could agree on, it's that the U.S.A. needs prayer.

I tend to look at those things in numbers. Feeling (or hoping) that those warnings would come by more than one way. Something to look out for more hints leading to now.
I understand wanting to wait for a confirmation, and that's Biblical ... but it won't hurt to pray in the meantime.
Agreed.
And done.

Thank you, my friend.
Rev. Paul. This is fascinating. The sun released an M class CME yesterday.
In 2 to 3 days the plasma will arrive.
There are currently sunspots that could create an X class flare pointed directly at the earth. 15 % chance.
A big X class flare would play major havoc with the electric grid.
Me too, I'll pray...
It's like waiting for the steam kettle whistle to blow right when the water starts to boil. Prayer is good. And needed.
Cathy, that's a possibility, but I'm not sure how it would affect only the east coast. Still, who knows?
Thank you, Stephen.
And thank you, Chickenmom. You're right, of course, and every prayer helps.
It never hurts to pray "in the meantime".
And I have a feeling the times are going to get pretty mean next year......
Agreed, Jim. Mean ... ugly ... dangerous ... may all apply.
We lost connection, although not electricity, once last week for a number of hours. No TV, phone, or Internet, and spotty and intermittent cell service. A call to the company said solar flare.....
That doesn't surprise me, threecollie, but I'm sorry it happened to you.
