Another Chilly Morning

It was -11° when I awoke; these temps will be normal in another month, but that's a little cool for the end of November. Oh well, AccuHunch guesses it'll be warmer in a few days.

There's been another fatal plane crash, this time in western Alaska near the village of St. Mary's.

Of course it's too soon for any kind of official finding on the cause of the crash, but it was 18° and foggy. Ice/frost build-up is a possible culprit.

We're heading out after breakfast to do a little shopping. Definitely not the "Black Friday" frenzy type, anyway.

Thanks for stopping by, friends; I appreciate it.

Don't know if I've ever experienced -11'

Amazing how people and critters adjust to it.

I find it strangely refreshing, Cathy. Hard to explain that to Outsiders (it means those from "outside" of Alaska). But it gets a lot colder than that.

Heard of that crash even here in the east. We are unusually cold too and not enjoying it much. Stay warm

Exactly, Chickenmom - you get it! :)

No worries, threecollie. I haven't broken out the parka yet. But yesterday morning I probably should have.

I've not been in 11 degrees since I was a tyke.
Don't miss it.

That's 11 below, Guffaw. Folks from Arizona tend to freeze here in the summertime. We can always tell them from other tourists; they're the ones in sweaters or jackets when we're in shorts & sandals.

Just a tad cold for my liking Rev, but I'll trade ya 98 degrees and 80% humidity stories in the summer to achieve parity =)

I lived in Missouri for 45 years, Kelly; BTDT, and like Alaska better. But thanks anyway. :)
