I Know It's Not Much

by the standards of the winter weather which has wreaked so much havoc in the Lower 48, but we're settling in tonight for a nice weekend of Alaskan snow.

Accu-Hunch guesses we'll get 7" to 10" of fluffy white stuff over the next 36 hours. With temps in the teens and 20s, we can look forward to the type of snow that's dry & blows off of the cars while driving, rather than the ice & slush we had 10 days ago ... which then moved onto the rest of the country a bit later.

All our Christmas shopping was done by last weekend, so there's not a lot to do now but sit back & watch it come down.

Oh - and brew lots of good coffee.

Trust me, folks: this is the good stuff.

Enjoy it. Temps aren't too bad here but been sleeting/raining all day and they are saying 4 to 6 inches of snow tonight.

We will see.

Sounds like a good weekend to relax and stay inside and warm for both of us.

Agreed, Preppy. Stay safe.

Yeah! Stop on by, NFO, and I'll pour you as much as you care to drink. :)

Sounds good to me...the coffee part. We have given up on figuring out what we are getting this weekend. None of the stations can agree and the forecasts have changed from freezing rain to snow, to rain and back so many times it's like watching tennis. Enjoy hibernation!

Thanks, threecollie - and good luck.
