Light Posting for the Next Couple of Days

Our daughters begin moving out this afternoon, and we'll be assisting with the moving of boxes and furniture.

It will be strange to have our place to ourselves, thereafter; we've been parents for nearly 25 years. But you know what? It's time.

And we're all ready for the change. :)

At this point, I'm obligated to tell you that neither my wife nor I have grey hair, and - my wife insists! - we aren't old.

Mileposts. (And that hand belongs to a man)

Indeed. And I'm not as sure as you seem to be re: the hand, but it's just some clip art I found on-line. :)

Heh... at least you HAVE hair... :-)

Rev. Paul said...

That's true, sir - sorry. :)

Hair--and its hue--are over rated.

Mine got burned off--from the inside--a long time ago.

You and your wife will think it strange for a few weeks or so to come home to an empty nest, but then the new norm will assert itself.

Try not to worry about your girls being on their own. "Try" being the operative word.

Nice you are helping.
When I moved out my parents weren't that helpful.
They did give me a broken wing-back chair, though!

joated, we're already fine with being home alone. :) And the girls aren't going that far, so we'll be able to keep an eye on them, if we need to.

Guffaw, we're doing what we can. The girls are anxious to get to the unpacking & arranging, so our roles are nearly done. Then we'll have a quiet dinner - just the two of us - and enjoy.

I'm glad you and your lovely bride are embracing the change. Your pride in your girls shines through in your words. This is the icing on the parent cake. The move that proves you did good.

You did good Mom and Dad!!

Thank you, Six; we've done what we can, and they're ready to make the step.

I appreciate your words very much. :)

Rev. Paul,

Empty nest time!!!!

You and your wife must be really proud of your girls?

Congratulations to your girls on finding a place.

Now it's time for you and your wife to plan wonderful alone time together.

Rev. Paul said...

Sandy, yes! We are VERY proud of them. We've taught them well, and they've retained it.

Re: alone time, oh my yes. Yes, indeed. :)
