And They're Off!

Iditarod XLII Willow Restart (Aerial)
The official re-start of the Iditarod at Willow, Alaska (yesterday).

The Iditarod mushers are off & running, and a cold front has moved in. That's a Very Good Thing, as it prevents the snow from further melting, and helps the dogs stay cool as they run. Martin Buser, a four-time champ, once told us that sled dogs run best at 30 below. At that temp, they can run flat out & never overheat.

I figure he should know!

Rev. Paul,

That's good news for the Iditarod mushers. Do you have a team you're supporting?

I'd kinda like to see Aliy Zirkle win; she's come so close a couple of times, and it's time for a woman to win again.
