Friday

We sold the living room suite last night; that's another step forward in redesigning the empty nest. So we're sitting in lawn chairs for now, but have already purchased replacement furniture. It'll be delivered after we've painted and re-carpeted the upstairs.

In the meanwhile, vacation starts tonight. The renovations will wait until after that. And it'll be far easier to get everything off of the upstairs carpet now that the large pieces are no more.

Our weather has warmed to seasonal norms; that is, overnight lows in the teens, and daytime highs just above freezing. A big meltdown (what all y'all call Spring is referred to as "break-up", here) and the roads, parking lots and driveways will be an icy, sloppy mess for awhile. 'Tis indeed a good time to be heading south for some sun and recreation.

So have a great Friday, and thanks for stopping by; I appreciate it more than I can say.

What is this Spring of which you speak? LOL. We did make it up to the 50's on Saturday... but the wind was a steady 30mph, not so warm. Today we're back down in the 20's with snow on tap for tomorrow. If I could do it, I'd head to Hawaii for a bit. I'm really tired of being cold. Ha.
