You Can Always Tell When It's Friday in Alaska

because the weather starts deteriorating in preparation for the weekend.

Today - the day before the summer solstice - we have sunshine and clear skies. There will be plenty of daylight, providing well over 22 hours of usable light.

Tomorrow, on the day itself, the forecast is for rain and cold winds.

Oh, well, at least it's nice tonight.

Rev. Paul,

At least is beautiful today, and the rain you're suppose to get over the weekend should help with any dry areas.

Time to prepare for many hours of day light :-)

LOL, so you get the same stuff we do, nice all week, sucky weekends...

Sandy, the long days last for about 12 weeks: six week before the solstice, and six after. All in all, a nice compensation for the long, cold, dark winters. :)

So we do, NFO. Seems to be that way all over, these days.

22 hours of light.
Wow.
Sadly . . . our days will are staring to get shorter.

Cathy, everybody's days are beginning to shorten, now that it's past the solstice. But it will be at least six weeks before it's dark at bedtime, here.
