There's not much of interest in the news, other than purely local stories. But y'all will remember that the Yukon Pass R.R. suffered a derailment last week. Here's a report on the investigation:

OK. . . I'm wandering 'off the pavement' here . . but tell you what: Just Netlixed a "Henry Ford" documentary that contains video of those early Model T's going 'off road' and it's fascinating.
Cathy, those Model Ts seemed to go pretty much anywhere, which was probably related to their light weight more than anything else. But still, very cool!
