A Sad Story

CANTWELL - A woman was killed and two others aboard a Princess tour bus injured in a rollover crash near mile 173 of the Parks Highway, said Alaska State Troopers.

The crash was reported at about 8 a.m. Friday.

Three people, all Princess employees, were on board the bus when it crashed, troopers said.

According to the Alaska State Troopers, the bus was going too fast for the rain-slick roads. A trooper said it best:

“When you get rain and other factors, you need to travel under the speed limit,” said Trooper Sgt. Jess Carson. “Only as quickly as you can travel safely Unfortunately, this is an example of what happens when people travel either beyond their ability or beyond the ability of the vehicle.”

Rev. Paul,

Very tragic, thank God the bus wasn't full of people.

Indeed, Sandy, it could have been a LOT worse.
