Not a Great Start to the Day

Ever have one of those days when you should have stayed in bed?

Okay, that's a silly question; of course you have. And today was my turn.

When the alarm went off, I just knew it was a malfunction: couldn't POSSIBLY be time to get up, right?

When I tried to sit up, it took a minute to find the floor ... and I'm not sure I was entirely vertical at that point, which contributed to the problem.

In trying to shave, I missed my upper lip and took a bit out of the edge of my nose, which wouldn't stop bleeding right away.

I shoulda stayed in bed ...

* * * * *

On Sunday, I wrote about how the weather has turned cooler, and mentioned that (judging solely by the departure of the snow geese) we might get early snow.

I neglected to mention that on Monday there was snow on the mountains above town. Granted, only above 4,000 feet, but still ... and it was 31° F. at my place, this morning.

Hmm. From the accumulating signs, it may not be long, now. White stuff is inevitable, of course; it's Alaska, after all.

Resistance is futile.

Have I mentioned I shoulda stayed in bed?

Doesn't snow staunch blood flow?

(sorry)

Guffaw, that hasn't been my experience ... you'll have to ask me how I know that, sometime. :)

In my world the vertical problem is called a hangover.:-)

PH, I remember what that's like, but it's been a number of years ... in my case, just really groggy & not at all ready to wake up.

Hey, there's a story on the Verge about Alaska becoming like Florida (or something like that) with all the glowball warmening. I didn't read it ;)

Teresa - Jay Leno once told a joke about how, with globull warmering, Alaska would have the only decent climate left.

You didn't read the story? Gee, I wonder why ...

It's gonna be a cold one this year - we've had the fireplace going at night already and it's STILL September!

Yep: global cooling! :)

Yes. The answer is Yes. I guess as long as the "ok"days out-weigh the "Should'a stayed in bed days." . . But these shorter, cooler days . . . :(

It could be worse, Cathy. In three months, we'll only have 4 1/2 hours of daylight.

And snow. Lots of snow.

NOT a good way to start! Hope it got better.

It's MUCH better now, my friend; thanks!

I WAS TRYING TO FIND THE BATHROOM AND ENDED UP ON THE WALKIN CLOSET FLOOR. HOW DOES THAT SOUND? MY HUABAND FOUND ME.....:-)

JMD - it sounds like your morning was worse than mine. You win!
