Changes

The weather service can't make up its mind, but that's normal for Alaska. With all the mountains around Anchorage, the patterns can be ... erratic.  There are six ranges visible from the city, and we're literally nestled against the Chugach Mtns which form the east edge of town.

So any forecast more than 8 hours in advance is simply a guess, rather than an educated guess (which - face it - is what the weather service does).

Last night, they predicted snow for Friday night. This morning, they're calling for a rain/snow mix on Saturday morning, with perhaps two inches of accumulation.

That'll change again before Saturday gets here ... probably several times.

So here's a peek at the eastern skyline, about 15 minutes ago.
