I was just asked if I'm still a notarary republic. I almost replied, "Nope, never have been."
There's a line in My Fair Lady, in the song "Why Can't the English Learn to Speak?", where a character follows that question with "In America, they haven't spoken it in years."
Word.

Probably had a good chuckle over that one!
Chickenmom - we're still chuckling. :)
As Earl Potts would say, "We speak 'Merican here."
joated ... yes, that. At least kinda sorta.
Ahahahahaa! Thank you. I needed a good chuckle this morning.
Oh man... pathetic...
Cathy, you're welcome. :)
NFO, I could tell the caller was struggling to remember the words, but ... wow.
'Word'
REALLY?
I don't know what's worse in today's world, Ebonics or geekspeak?
Whenever someone says OUT LOUD 'LOL' or 'irregardless', I become concerned.
'Suposably' really bothers me!
Or "Are you coming with?'. minus the 'me'.
Word.
gfa
