22 December

So yesterday was the shortest day of the year, measured in daylight hours: less than 5 1/2 hours, at this latitude.

Today's sun time is perhaps five seconds longer than yesterday.

But the longer days to come are God's promise that, even as we approach the coldest, snowiest months of the season, Summer will come 'round again.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Genesis 8:22)

YAY!! This is the official start of a new bee keeping year. I was planning on doing a post about it this afternoon. The girls should start slowly building up once again after today.
