A Textbook-Perfect Day

Yes, it's the winter solstice. Yes, it's the shortest day of the year ... and that means something when you're this far north.

But it's the Sunday before Christmas. Peaceful holiday tunes are streaming. Packages are wrapped and/or mailed, as appropriate. My wife is making cookies.

And it's snowing.
Life is good!

Heh. I am glad you all had such a great day. I didn't even notice it was the 21st today as I put all the insulation int he rafters of my mom's mini-house. I was just so happy it got too dark to work as soon as it did:)

My shoulders are killing me.

I hear you, Preppy. I've been thinking about the "shortest day" coming up for a week, and then promptly forgot about it. :)

It has been a great day, Sarge. Thanks.

Guffaw, it was great. Took a lot of hard work to get there, but the rewards are worth it (principal one being "happy wife"). Thanks.
