Back in the day I knew a certified public adjuster. For a fee, he would handle your fire insurance claim. He said November and December were his busiest months.

I remember plenty of Christmas tree fires, back in the day. Don't seem to hear of so many now, but that's probably because there are way more artificial trees now.

Every year here in Oklahoma we have so many house fires relating to Christmas lights and heaters.

I don't understand why people leave their Christmas lights on 24/7. When going to bed or leaving home we always over the years unplug all lights.

Safety over Christmas and year round should a first priority for everyone.

I'm sorry to hear that, Sandy. You'd think people would be more careful ... but then, given how uneducated people have been left by our "education" system, I guess it's not such a surprise. Besides, fires only happen to other people, right?
