But Of Course

Since the forecast was for freezing rain with ice build-up, naturally the clouds cleared and the sun came out.

Darn. :)

Meanwhile, the house is filled with the aroma of chicken-and-white-bean chili that is simmering on the stove. My wife is packaging gifts for the Lower 48 relatives, and I'm practicing a few songs for Tuesday evening's jam session.

Looks like the clouds are slowly drifting back in. The short days* this time of year make every bit of light precious, and we resent anything that interferes ... unless it's big, fluffy Alaska-sized snowflakes.

Alas, there's nothing like that outside now, so we're loving the light. :)

Thanks for stopping by, folks.

Tell you what, Preppy: I'll swap you one of our short days for one of yours. Any takers?

Yeah. "Darn." ;)
The sun came out for 1 hour in northwest Ohio. People who couldn't get outside had their noses pressed against the windows.

We understand, Cathy. Our winter days can frequently be like that ... when there's any sun at all.

Rev. Paul,

Chicken and white bean chili sounds really good for your weather today.

Jam session, do you play an instrument, sing, or both?

Rev. Paul said...

Both, Sandy. I played French horn in school, guitar since 1969, and also know my way around the bagpipes. And I've been singing all my life, too. :)

The jam session is guitars, though.
