An Explanation About My Posts, Lately

I've mentioned, from time to time, that I manage a large commercial building (i.e., building, grounds and facilities).

The building has been sold, and the deal became official this week, when the documents were recorded. The original owners have received rather large checks, and the new owners are scrambling to make sure they pick up all the reins.

Me? The new folks have been nice enough to ask me to stay on at the same salary, because I know where all the bodies are buried I've been there a long time.

So I've been distracted by a seemingly-interminable sales/review/due diligence/document-scanning frenzy, all summer long. And oh yeah, that other tiny distraction: would I still have a job? So now, things can go more-or-less back to normal, while I learn a few new rules for doing recurring tasks.

So with favor and the grace of God, I'll get back to occasionally putting something thought-provoking here again.

Well, you know ...

Ed, that's appreciated; thank you. I struggled with whether to say anything about it, and then ... well, life went on.

Life always has a way of intruding on our daily schedule.

Great to hear they kept you on. Shows some wisdom on their part,

So glad they decided the smart move was to keep you running things! That picture bought a smile to my face - he looks exactly like my Dad before he got sick - I'm going to save it!

All - thank you for your kind words, and your support. I've not met most of you, but wouldn't mind it at all!

Indeed it does, ma'am. And it's most definitely not on our schedule!
