This is More Like It

Winter weather, that is. We got 3 1/2 inches of snow yesterday. We should have four feet by now, but we'll take what we can get.

And this morning's drive to work was underscored by an ice fog, leaving road surfaces with all the adherence of PAM sprayed on axle grease. For some reason, Paul Simon's "Slip Slidin' Away" keeps going through my head ...

Update: now we have freezing drizzle and/or light snow mixing in the fog bank. Roads are a mess.

We just went through that icy roads thing here in MN. If a person wanted to drive off into the ditch, he would need to make a reservation first - the ditches were that full of vehicles. Please be careful out there!

Rev. Paul,

Be careful driving on those slick roads.
The weather has been very strange across the country.

Ew. But ice fog did make the trees pretty at my daughter's house in MI when they had it nightly for a while.

Been too warm for snow here, so our precip has all been rain. I'm sort of torn about that. 45 degrees and rain seems less pleasant than 25 degrees and snow. So maybe it's not Winter I actually hate so much as our mid-Atlantic Winter that's only sorta Winter.
