The Search Begins

After our regular morning shopping run, we'll be saddling up for a short trip north. We're meeting a realtor and hope to view at least a couple of places.

Our list of "must haves" is short, and well in keeping with the standard type of houses found in that community. So we hope the search won't take a long time. I know there can many false starts in a home search, but we also have Inside Information, from the One who knows where we need to be.

He said, "Trust Me," and so we shall. It's exciting to cast off on a trip with only a vague idea of the destination.

If you're the praying sort, I've just outlined what we're expecting. Prayers of agreement would be welcome. :)

On a different but related topic, the weather folks say there's a winter storm moving in, this afternoon. It's almost like a sign, as we found our current home on a snowy winter's evening just before Thanksgiving in 2003. In fact, it was several days before we knew what color the outside of the house was, because a Saturday was the first time we were able to see it in daylight.

The day we moved it was also snowy, and just after a big storm. So this seems like an encouragement to us. Maybe it's an Alaskan thing.

But I think it's fun to go driving in the snow, so bring it on!

But you know that.
Lord Jesus, Please lead and guide Paul and his family in their search for the place you have prepared for them.

Rev. Paul,

A day of snow is a sure day of finding your new home.
Good luck, and prayers are being sent your way.

Ed, thank you. That's pretty much what I wanted to hear.

Sandy, I appreciate the prayers. Thank you, too.
