Iditarod 2016: 44th Running of the Sled Dogs

From the ceremonial start in Anchorage yesterday, to today's official re-start in Willow, the 44th Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race has begun. When they complete the roughly 1,100 mile race in 8 or 9 days, another chapter will have been added to the history books.

Go doggies! (And the mushers, too!)

NFO - not a YUGE deal. :) Just means the folks who used to go to the Campbell air strip to watch the sprint end, had to come closer to downtown. The regular race started today & goes the whole distance.

Wing - you bet! MUSH!

ML - I like Aliy Zirkle & Dallas Seavey. Either could take it.
