At Last

A week from right now, I'll be sitting in SEA-TAC, awaiting a connecting flight to STL. After a night in a local hotel, then we rent a car and drive for another four hours or so.

This week has been long, and everyone around me agrees. Next week, even with only four workdays, will feel longer to me. Happens every time before a vacation.

But this weekend, I'll continue packing for the move to our new house next month. Tomorrow, I'll be working on stuff in the garage. And it will help pass the time.

On the bright side, my morning shopping shouldn't take more than a half hour, as I haven't consumed much. Living alone, if only for a couple of weeks, greatly reduces the amount of consumption. Go figure.

Meanwhile, Wife and Younger Daughter are having a blast in Hawaii: shopping, underwater scooters while swimming with sea turtles, and parasailing. Lots of long walks on the beach, and generally just hanging out together. Good stuff, and they both needed it. I'm glad they're having such a great time.

It's always good to have a plan.
This sounds like a good one.

Thanks, Guffaw.

Ed, it's probably the best I can come up with (for the weekend). Makes constructive use of the time & keeps my mind off of the wait, for awhile.

Rev. Paul,

Time just before vacation always seems to drag out longer.
Keep on packing, and before you know it you'll be on that plane.
Enjoy your weekend!

Sandy, I know that what you say is true. I'm simply very impatient. :)
