Way-Back Wednesday

Today: We had a micro-burst, or downdraft, or something which destroyed the neighbor's Bartlett Pear tree last night. It's lying across Mom's garden & grapevines, this morning. Lots and lots of heavy, pelting rain overnight, too, but no tornados in the news.

Vivid lightning, winds, rain, flooded streets, lots of rolling thunder ... but no major damage reported, either. We're now reacquainted with t-storms, and it can stop, for our part. :)

Way, Way Back:
I'm busy scanning photos this a.m., especially Navy pics which I sent to Mom at the time, and never kept for myself.

Here's an example:

Rev. Paul,

Great picture!!!! Those were the days :-)

Be safe back at your Mom's home. Weather was bad last night, and the weather people are talking more severe weather later this week.

Thanks, Sandy. The days were good, and we were so SO young. :)
Most of the severe weather seems to have moved on. A bit quieter, now.

I know, I know. I'd hardly even worn the thing when this picture was taken.

I'm behind on blogging. What state had that awful wind?
And - thank you for your service Rev. Paul.

Cathy, I was in Missouri. Other states had stronger storms; it's just that we hadn't experienced any t-storms at all since leaving there in 2003.

And thank you, for remembering.
