The Trump Campaign Comes to Alaska

and to hear the local newspaper/fishwrapper tell the story, it's a collection of prominent Republicans, former politicians, and some which make you scratch your head.

But the hoopla is just beginning, and I'm sure we'll all be more tired of it by November than we are now ... if that's even possible.

* * * * *

So, with all of the silliness, paranoia, shouting, accusations and wild accusations that come with the Silly Season, wash your brain out with this story from the Alaska Dispatch News:

Anchorage police have released a dashcam video of citizens and a police officer who saved a driver’s life Sunday by freeing him from a burning car.

Police had responded to a rollover crash on Middlerock Road that left a vehicle on its side, with the driver’s arm trapped beneath the vehicle. In a video from one of the responding police cruisers, Officer Mitchel Veenstra can be seen rallying four bystanders to help push the vehicle clear of the driver, about a minute before the vehicle bursts into flame.

Rev. Paul,

Good thing the trained officer arrived and knew what to do. Obvious the bystanders didn't know what to do, or didn't want to get involved until the officer yelled at them.
