A Thought About the Debate

We watched the debate as closely as our individual levels of nausea would allow. My take-away is this: if we were living in Old Testament times, I'd expect Ms. Clinton to be struck by lightning ... or at the very least, turned into a pillar of salt.

Just my opinion, folks; as always, your mileage may vary.

New Testament.
I've always thought it unfair that Obama isn't consumed by worms when aggrandizing himself.

Ed - you're referring to Acts 12:21-23 ("And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.") I've often used that comparison, myself.

Apparently so, at least this time.

I don't watch because I wouldn't be able to hear over my own stream of invective. But I do keep hoping that the next day I'll see that she's exploded into fire and as she was consumed a pair of goat hooves were glimpsed...

PH, there were carefully-chosen expletives used here, as well. But I like the way you think. ;^)

Couldn't watch it.

I was afraid I'd smash the TV set I spent a week fixing last year.....

To be honest, Jim, I only listened to most of it. I was in the adjoining room, listening to my wife & younger daughter doing most of the yelling.
