Consider this, then:
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects;
a father’s delight is behind all this.
(Proverbs 3:5-12, MSG - emphasis added)
Keep your eyes on God, my friends; don't trust in men. Humans will fail you every time, but God never will!
* "May you live in interesting times."

Indeed.
A confirmation for you; I was praying this morning. Sometimes, at God's will, I hear something back from the Almighty. This morning, He told me not to listen to men, but to Him alone; that HE would lead me; that HE would tell me what to do next.
It's easy to be overwhelmed in times like these. With God at your side though, it's impossible to stay overwhelmed, and impossible to be conquered. Keep your Bible open and your powder dry!
It's good to get confirmation, from time to time. I do occasionally feel like I'm shouting in the wilderness, wondering if anyone hears. Thank you, Pete.
Amen.

Thank you, my friend.
thank you. i'm like peter, with my eyes on the storm waves instead of where my eyes should be.
deborah, that's where far too many Christians have their focus, these days. If I may wax pastoral for a moment, I suspect we're going to receive a crash course in "walking by faith" in the days ahead.
Amen.
Be safe and I hope you all have a blessed weekend.
