The Early Morning Rain

The temperature has warmed slowly overnight (up to 40° (!) right now), and there was a heavy rain overnight. Well, "heavy" being a relative term, but it did rain quite a bit for awhile.

We're fortunate that it's early in the winter season, and the roads aren't cold enough for the rain to freeze on contact. No reports of any ice build-up, anyway.

We have a pickup and three SUVs, and all have winter tires (one set is studded; the other three are the studless "ice grippers". I was skeptical about those, until last year when my wife put a set on her small SUV. They work quite well, and in some cases better than my studded tires. Since they also don't tear up the asphalt like studs, my next set of snow tires will be the studless type, too.

The terms "shell-shocked" and "disarray" are being used to describe the Clinton camp's response to yesterday's FBI bombshell. Isn't it strange how the Left doesn't find it so funny when it's happening to them?

We'll be heading out to the local market for a few things, this morning, and to put some more go-juice in truck. Later, Older Daughter and I are going to take a serious stab at organizing the garage. It remains the one part of the house which hasn't ever truly been put in order. That needs to change, and a cold, rainy day seems like a good time to start.

That's all I have for now; thanks for stopping by, friends.

Thanks, NFO.

PH, I was thinking of the Gordon Lightfoot song of the same title. :)

Haha. That's what I was going to say. Gordon Lightfoot.
Thanks for the info on studless tires. I had never heard of them.
Our garage in NC got 'organized' once or twice a year. Never helped, haha.
I hope you have better luck!

Be safe and God bless.

Thank you, Linda.

Word from my Lefty friends on FB (Yes, I do have them)is this is all just blowing smoke until the election, because the Fibbies have nothing, and they have to look tough now that Comey has been discredited.
Who knows?

And, in spite of his being a Canuck, Gordon Lightfoot is a poet! He wrote Carefree Highway when his tour bus was driving North from Phoenix, where such a named street exists!

Guffaw, who knows? They may be right. Even Rush Limbaugh admitted this could be a distraction to keep Trump from emphasizing his policies & positions, but rather talking about her.

I've been a fan of Lightfoot since high school, and still play a lot of his older songs during guitar jams. His style and mine are similar.

My very first cassette Tape was Gordon Lightfoot and if you ever find any of his really early stuff he tried to sound like Jim Reeves for a while! Ahh "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald!
As to the Bombshell...I think it might be a distraction....it makes Comey sound like he is doing his job! I do wish we had media that was honest and actually reported researched and factual information.
