Four times I had the chance to go to Hawaii, two of them would have been on a Tiger Cruise, The other two family vacations. Out of those two time in Hawaii, I asked if we could go to Pearl my parents didn't want to go. They just wanted to bake in the sun on the beach.

Rob, I wonder whether visiting Pearl Harbor might have been too close to home, so to speak, perhaps awakening memories they'd rather not re-visit. But I'm only guessing. Sorry you didn't get to see it for yourself.
