Too Early

I slept in this morning. That is to say, I slept until 0600, which is two hours later than I normally arise.

The temps were above freezing (yuck!) at bedtime, so I opened the window. It's 28° this morning, with snow and falling temps arriving momentarily, if AccuHunch is to be believed. While their track record hasn't been exactly stellar, of late, the Weather Channel agrees with them.

Right now ... more coffee. Stat!

Reverend, am I reading correctly that you left your window open all night with sub-freezing weather? I may never bet cut out for cold weather...

TB, we sleep with the window open until it get down into single digits. We close it then because it might get frozen in the open position.

It was minus 1 in our neck of the woods this morning and there was a thick layer of frost inside the double paned windows. Thank goodness for heated mattress pads.

Coffee is good! :-)

Tewshooz - welcome to Alaska, pilgrim! :) We have flannel sheets for when it gets really cold, but haven't needed to use them yet. We like a cold room with warm blankets.

NFO - when we were younger, coffee qualified as a vice. These days, it's a NECESSITY.

Rev. Paul,

Once again we were colder than you last night. Temperature hit 7 degrees with a wind chill making it feel -10 degrees. We had to rescue Tank at 230AM his truck overheated in the cold weather.

Sandy, I know you folks down in the States have been hit with a real Arctic blast. But for you, it's a fluke. We deal with it almost all winter long. Of course, that means we're well prepared for it, and it doesn't overwhelm our outerwear, etc. We do sympathize with all y'all.
