Trying to Rouse My Muse

My plans for today include taking the time to re-read the first eight chapters of my fan fiction, "MHI Alaska: A Dish Served Cold", to see if it stirs up inspiration for another chapter.

Beyond that, I'm dealing with a recalcitrant heating system at work, which doesn't want to do what it's been told. The software shows me what it has ordered the control nodes to do, but doesn't always show me what's actually happening.

And you remember that I mentioned, just a day or two ago, that we "could see temps of -20 or colder in the next six weeks"? AccuHunch is calling for -16° tomorrow night.

Me and my big mouth.

Otherwise, it's a quiet day. That's a good thing. Later, folks - and thanks for stopping by.

Rev. Paul,

Stay warm, hopefully the work heater soon will cooperate!

Rob, we traditionally have a cold spell in Jan or Feb, with temps sometimes reaching near -30. Can last anywhere from a day or two, up to three weeks. And I got your message; thank you very much.

Sandy, it's the heat in my four-story "smart" office building. Cold spots here and there, for no apparent reason. But the HVAC guys are here, so it should be whipped into shape directly. Thanks.

Sure do love that header. Hope you get everything in good working order and stay warm.

I'm with Rob... no need to share unless you want to take some snow as a trade?

Lovely painting on your header, but I must ask. Is that a car off on the left side of the road??! I sure wouldn't want to park there. I wonder if that was the painter's car. ;-)

Stay safe & warm in the subzero temps. And hope the heater gets back in shape.

Marianne, everything seems to be working for now. We'll see what it looks like on Friday morning when it's -15° overnight.

hobo, the header is a photograph, with post-editing soft focus applied. Yes, there's a car backed up into a little spot off the left side of the driveway that's just ahead of it. You can see their mailbox above the roof of the car. Oh, and while a little more snow is always in order here, we do have quite a bit on the ground already.

Thanks, Linda. One thing we Alaskans are good at, is keeping ourselves warm. :)
