Yuck

There's a rather vicious variety of the creeping crud-slash-head cold making its way through the population of southcentral AK. It seems I have it, this morning.

We got another five six inches of snow overnight, with more on the way. That puts us a few inches above seasonal normal, for the first time in four winters. Most of that is because we've received nearly three feet of snow, this month.

Strangely enough, I don't feel much like running the snowblower today. But it'll have to get done. Both daughters, who have done the plowing/clearing/shoveling for the last two weekends, will be out all day. Younger Daughter is working two jobs, and won't get off from the second one until midnight, and Older Daughter is attending the mid-winter refresher course for Appleseed instructors.

But the chores were done early, along with most of the weekend shopping, so my bride and I don't really have anything major on the agenda. Come to think of it, that's rather nice.

Rest, fluids, ibuprophen for inflamation, and get better.

Nothing major on the agenda.
That sounds so appealing...

PH - that's the plan. Thank you.

Ed - it does. Now, if I could just breathe ...

Get some rest and don't forget the vitamin C and zinc. And....of course....the hot chicken soup.

Ooh, hot chicken soup ... sounds really good.

Feel better soon! Whatever it is, it's going around anywhere.

Hubby read a report some months ago that Jewish Penicillin - or chicken broth - had been proven to indeed provide some sort of healing properties for colds and flu. Especially home made.

Have a Blessed weekend.

Thanks, Linda. I believe I read the same report, and had a big bowl of chicken soup this morning. It wasn't homemade, but it was good.

We have the same version running far south of you as well Reverend. I have managed to avoid it to date but it sounds awful.

It's not much fun, TB. Avoid it if you can.

Rev. Paul,

Nothing like getting all your chores done early, and enjoying the rest of the day with your wife!!!
