There Be Whales Here!

The population of humpback whales in Kachemak Bay (some 200 miles south of Anchorage, at Homer) is growing.

And they go right by the coast here twice a year, on their way to and from Alaska.

I've been whale watching a few times in a boat, and a few more times from shore.

Magnificent creatures, they be!

I figured you'd have a pretty good vantage point, given your location. Magnificent, indeed!

Excellent. My trip to the past to save them was successful. However, one crewman was seriously wounded, and another keeps using colorful metaphors now.

I'd bet the ship's doctor is pretty grumpy about it, too.

Great story. Thank you, Reverend. :)

You're most welcome, Linda.

You should start seeing Greys here pretty soon... They're normally about a month behind the Humpbacks.

The greys usually show up in early May, here. Looking forward to it. :)
