God's Word for Friday, 6/23/17

Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, “God has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me”? Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.

Hubby had some annoying show on today that was trying to explain how the Star of Bethlehem had been a spaceship, and the three Wise Men had been aliens; and God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit were just different parts of a human being. Good grief. People spend too much time trying to explain why He can't be, instead of praising Him for being.

Thank you, Reverend.

Going on the road Tuesday (wish it was Alaska) to Michigan to visit with my mother for a day or two. Will have laptops, so will try to check in to see which gems you are led to share with us. :)

Isn't that amazing, Linda, how some (ahem!) "expert" just knows that an event from 2,000+ years ago was a spaceship... geez. Of course, they tend not to read the entire passage, nor think about its implications.

The Wise Men followed a star which led them to Bethlehem from someplace much farther east. Said star had to remain hung over Bethlehem for quite some period of time, as high-speed rail wasn't yet available. Heh.

Anyway, you're welcome; travel safely.
