God's Word for Sunday, 9/10/17

I’ve been carrying you on my back from the day you were born, And I’ll keep on carrying you when you’re old. I’ll be there, bearing you when you’re old and gray. I’ve done it and will keep on doing it, carrying you on my back, saving you.
Isaiah 46:4 MSG

Never thought of it like that, before. But I do know when he catches me or keeps me from stumbling.
Amen. Thank you, Reverend. :)

We just need to remember that.

You're welcome, Linda.

NFO, very true. It's way too easily forgotten.

Reminds me of that old "Footprints in the Sand" picture, the one where one set of prints disappeared, and Christ told the person that's when He was carrying them....

That's so, Jim. Glad I'm not the only one who thought so. :)

I tend not to be "religious" in the conventional sense, but The Bible and poems like we just mentioned definitely get my attention!

Rev. Paul said...

For the record, Jim, I'm not "religious" either. Religion may be defined as a man-made set of rules about how to live. Rather, I'm all about the relationship between my Father and my Lord, and following THEIR rules.

I never thought of it that way before.

Looks like I'm in good company!
