Seek good and not evil— and live! You talk about God, the God-of-the-Angel-Armies, being your best friend. Well, live like it, and maybe it will happen. Hate evil and love good, then work it out in the public square. Maybe God, the God-of-the-Angel-Armies, will notice your remnant and be gracious.

We hope and pray.
Linda, remember that his is an OLD Covenant passage: Jesus hadn't yet come, so His salvation wasn't yet available. This was from a time when people had to attempt compliance with a code of conduct, rather than relying on His marvelous saving grace. We have a better Covenant, now. :)
Thank you for the reminder, Reverend. :)
May be if we all followed a code of conduct it would be much easier to work it out in the public square. Just saying...
After all God helps those who help themselves.
Suz, there is the "Golden Rule", which is a pretty decent code. We're all supposed to follow it already, but clearly many don't.
