Quote of the Day

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

~ C. S. Lewis

My first reaction after reading this...." "Useful Idiots" were more than willing to oblige the negative messages following our presidential election. How can we help them to "see the light"? Or, even more scary....do they even want too?

Sue, it is truly said that "there are none so blind as those who will not see." The useful idiots already think the Central Government (as Jefferson termed it) is more-or-less infallible.

I don't believe they're interested in hearing any other viewpoint than their own. Otherwise, they get triggered, and retreat to a safe space for counseling. With coloring books & crayons.

Just a comment on your front page photo. just beautiful to see. We have some near us, I saw one sitting in a field eating his pray. You just want to stop your car and just watch such a majestic bird.

Rob, the header photo was taken recently on the island of Adak (where I was stationed from '75 - '77). There were some 5,000 baldies on the island when it was fully populated. These days, it's a few hundred. But I suspect they've switched from human-made trash to seafood, these days. Yes, they're spectacular.
