But the basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can’t see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse.

So very true. How anyone can say otherwise I can't understand.
Linda, I have to believe it's a personal choice based on a deliberate refusal to acknowledge that there is a Creator. Because if there's a Creator, then a person is answerable to Him - and they don't want to be answerable to anybody.
And that's because they know their actions are wrong, and it makes them angry. So they refuse to admit He exists.
In effect, they're putting their fingers in their ears and saying, "La la la la la, I can't hear you!"
That's a good way to explain it. :)
There are those so blind who will not see... sigh.
Exactly. The mind boggles at their willing refusal to see.
