It's roughly 30 degrees, and has been all day. We've had a rain/snow mist for the last few hours, but it hasn't made the roads too slick - yet. That part will happen tonight.
Fortunately, we're also expecting the falling temps to make the rain change to the white stuff, which is preferred. Not too far north of here (Talkeetna), they're expecting anything from 2 to 3 feet of snow. Lucky dawgs ... we keep wishing that would come just a bit closer.
(Personal note: I have just a touch of dyslexia that only really bothers me when I'm tired ... and I keep inverting letters as I type. It's annoying as I have to keep backing up & correcting what I've just pecked out. Rats.)
It was a relatively quiet day at the office, today. I had to deliver bad news to a tenant: he was supposed to sign a new lease on the 1st, and pay more rent. He didn't sign, and didn't pay anything. Consequently, I changed all the locks and agreed to rent his space to another entity. Today, I got to tell the non-payee that he has to come remove his stuff PDQ.
Other than wishing it would snow a LOT more, it's a quiet evening. I like those. So I'm going to stop typing sideways, and post this before any more inverted letter selections creep in.
We got a couple of inches today, but it started to melt right away so it was heavy and a pain in the back to shovel. I am ready for summer. In Wisconsin that normally lasts about a week.
ReplyDeleteI hear you - as I wrote last year, we didn't have a summer. 2008 was one of the coldest on record, and our average July temp was 53 degrees. Only had 4 days all summer that got over 70 ...
ReplyDeleteI don't care if this summer is warm, but please Lord, let it be sunny.
Here I am in a sunny placce & I'd much rather be up in the snow!! I guess we'll see how I feel about it when we finally are up north full time when Patrick retires. Then I'll probably want to go on vacation in Phx!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that human nature, though? Darn it!
