I suppose this could start a massive argument with the progressives about Trump being Kirk (shoot 'em all and let God sort 'em out), and Obummer being Picard (the cool, calm, diplomat) in various scenarios.

Jim, people have remarkably short memories: the Oh-So-Cool O fired a LOT of cruise missiles at enemies during his first term. Just like Picard.
