Quote of the Day & other thoughts

The saddest epitaph which can be carved in memory of a vanished liberty is that it was lost because its possessors failed to stretch forth a saving hand while yet there was time.

~ Justice George Sutherland (1938)

I have been struggling to find my voice lately, via this little corner of the web. While I like to rant about the various political shenanigans and outright criminals masquerading as so-called public servants ... there are many who are better at fisking liberal lunacy than I.

My time will be better spent remembering what it is that we're all fighting for, rather than writing about what we're fighting against. I will concentrate on why the Constitutional Republic is worth saving.

I will continue to touch on current political events and firearms-related stories here in Alaska, but that won't be my only focus. I write this principally for my own entertainment, but you're still invited to come along. I hope you'll stay.

Rev. Paul,

I too find that other say it better, and am tempted to just let them say it. But, the more of us saying it, the louder the voices, so don't give up. Keep up the good fight, brother!

There, did that cheer you up:-)

Kindest Regards,
PolyKahr

There is as much - if not more - value in writing about the good things we have. The things people need to be reminded are out there. The things we tend to forget when we focus on all the bad stuff happening that we can't change.

Bad news sells - even in blogs. I can't understand it, but it does.

Me - I'll be happy to keep reading about other stuff than how the world will end tomorrow. :-)

I just discovered the blogs and YOU in October. Stay the course!
Unlike many others out there in the Information Junkyard, you are always thoughful, reasoned and polite! We need more!

I'm in. As you may have noticed, I've felt the same way. I could rant and rave away but there are other's doing it far better (and often louder) than I.

Rev - I understand the need for a course correction from time to time. One approach that I have tried is to incorporate both into my blogs - though sometimes less articulate than others, I feel it necessary to add perspective to the particular liberty minded thought.

Just something to keep in mind.

God bless!

Cheers!

Carteach0 & Joated - thank you. That means a lot.

PolyKahr, George, and Steven - there is much to what you say. I will probably not be able to restrain my sense of outrage at the more inane, dunder-headed, or illegal manueverings of our progressive "friends".

Teresa - I will certainly try to maintain a more positive bent, as I write. Thank you for your input.

Uppy - I've been thinking about this since last fall, but you may be right just the same. What the heck, you're right. Please feel free to resubmit your comment if you wish, since I clicked on the wrong button when moderating. Just remember, you're right - and I repeated that, for the record.

HAHAHAHHAAAA!

It is YOUR Blog and you can talk about what YOU want.

But for our out of stater's.. we are in the state of CABIN FEVER. Rev is having a serious case and he stated about a month ago or longer ... as I started about 4 months ago. hehe!

Rev. Back AWAY from your keyboard. Get you A$$ up off of your duff and march your butt over to the range and go pay. You by here today and for the rest of your life to do what you do to make YOU Happy!

This is a recording... You have the right to your own opinion. Please keep in mind that not everyone will agree with you here, now or ever eeven in a court of law. This is a recording 907-Kick BUTT!

I am glad I made you laugh out loud and maybe spit some of those teeth out, you know the pretty ones you got at the dentist.

You know I know like I know you know that this cabin fever crap is getting old, boring and lets face it.. moose poop tea is more fun, because you know like I know that you know like I know as you commented on it!

So, with that said... here is somethign to ponder. When a idiot asks you about morals... give em the old .45. What do I mean? Rev. you are a good man, but even a preacher needs to unload on it's creature, no matter how dumb, slow and obnoxious they are. It puts them back into perspective!

So... next time you have someone say something absolutely ignorant, like you know I know you know we know how they don't know.... give it to them baby! Uh HUH uh HUH!

I know exactly what you are saying, I had the same problem. I hope that you will just post what ever you feel. Having read your blog for a while now, I look forward to your insight and think you articulate your positions exquisitely.

It is obvious you are already having a big impact and we need more people like you who give selflessly of their time.
