We're Everywhere

From The Unwanted Blog -

" ... let’s see how Title 10 of the U.S. Code defines “militia:”

§ 311. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are—

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

So, there ya go. Every able-bodied man between the ages of 17 and 45 is a militiaman.

Go forth and panic in the streets."

It gets better: in Alaska, it's every resident age 17 and up. ALL of us. Just because you've never been activated or even contacted, doesn't mean you're not included.

You are the militia. Welcome to the club!

Sorry to say Reverend, but if things get so bad I get a militia callout notice, we're pretty much screwed.

But hey, Hoke Hey.

Families look out for each other.

Good to see that Alaska recognizes everyone can contribute in an emergency. So many, like Jenny above, believe that only warriors or physical persons can make a difference. Remember that even the US military needs several support persons for every man/woman in the field. Cooks, medical, supply, transportation personnel--all make a fighting force go.

To add to Joated's comment: Yes, what about Rosie the Rivetor?! There are some Californians (sorry to those from there that don't act like that!) that have moved into northern Idaho that are having apoplexy over a militia group up there. Visions of I don't know what are getting a few libs quite excited. I'm not talking white supremisists or Randy Weaver-types, just every day guys that formed a local militia. Doing a little target practice, etc. Hmmmm. Any thoughts on this??
