They have codes for everything: Code Blue for a death, Code This, Code That, Code The Other ... and Code Red for "someone's got a weapon". Upon hearing "Code Red" on the intercom, everyone has standing orders to get out of the building as quickly as possible.
She tells me they had a Code Red exercise the other day, but it didn't work out exactly the way it was supposed to.
Half of the staff rushed to the "scene" to see what the bad guy was carrying; the other half drew their own weapons and rushed to the "scene" as well.
Heh.
Don't mess with Alaskans. :) |

Oh yeah! I love this. The good guys should be armed.
We're in a bit of a crisis here in Toledo with undrinkable water. It's an edgy situation and I wonder how many of my neighbors have kept their firearms a little more proximate.
Great stuff!
Of course, if it's not a locally-owned company, I see 'No Weapons' policies in their future,
Because, guns are bad, ya know!

ROTF... figures... :-)
I agree, Cathy. Keep yours handy, especially if you have a known source of potable water.
Guffaw, it won't surprise me if the corporate offices have a no weapons policy in place, but this particular location isn't posted. :)
NFO, you know it. It's gonna be a long day trying to get Alaskans to disarm ... if it ever comes to that.
Crisis over. We can turn on the taps again.
Message received.
Be prepared.
Survival always teaches its own lesson. Glad y'all are okay. :)
