Well, another workday under my belt, and typical property-manager-stuff done: lock out a tenant who hasn't paid rent on time; talk to the owner about his current projects; keep the tenants updated on the status of Mt. Redoubt (nothing much has changed); and so on.
It's still mostly clear, and wonderfully light as I type this (YAY!) and we look forward to another summer season. Perhaps this one will be reasonably dry, and warm. It would be a nice change of pace.
I worry about our State legislators in Juneau, who seem to be running around with their collective hands out, waiting for dollars from D.C. (sounds like a game show, doesn't it?) instead of concentrating on what needs to be done, now, with the money we have.
In particular, I don't hear anyone asking where the money is coming from, nor whether the check will be any good when it arrives ... but maybe that's just my innate distrust of gift horses...
Well, my wife tells me supper is about ready, so I'll wrap this up. Have a great evening!

"sounds like a game show". When I was a kid there was this show where people dressed up in strange outfits and bid for prizes behind 3 doors. Some got ZONKED, I think they called it, when they picked a door and behind it was a PIG or some other worthless "prize",
I'm sure most Americans now feel they are a contestant in that little game.
It was called "Let's Make a Deal," hosted by Monty Hall (see what happens when you mention an old TV show to an aging Boomer?).
There's a difference, though: on that show, you had a chance to win.
