Sunday Afternoon Ramble

It's a grey day in Anchorage, although some small patches of blue sky are beginning to appear in the overcast. The temperature has been hovering just below the freezing point, so not too much snow has melted. Only the snow cover keeps it from being gloomy outside.

The cloud cover is at about the 4,000 foot mark, and the tops of the taller peaks in the Chugach Range are obscured. There was snow over the Kenai, and Turnagain Arm, this morning, but it gradually drifted away rather than moving into town.

There's a raw edge to the wind from the high humidity, and it feels colder now than it did the other day at 20 degrees.

The local news is unusually devoid of significant content, and it feels almost as if events are collectively holding their breath; no one wants to be first. It's strange that so little seems to be going on right now.

The window in the driver's door of my truck has decided to detach itself from the levers which roll it up and down - and hold it in place - and will need to be addressed soon. As is, it gradually slips down while the truck is moving, and must be manually pushed back into place. Annoying thing, that.

I'm beginning to ramble, so it's time to stop writing. I pray you are having a wonderful day, surrounded by family and/or loved ones. That's the best thing of all!
