AccuHunch got lucky & swerved into the truth: it began snowing lightly around lunchtime today. Accumulation is minimal, so far - perhaps a quarter-inch.
It was a fairly typical day, otherwise. There were the usual things to handle, i.e. a dirty restroom, rent check(s) received, and hearing the ongoing political discussions in the coffee shop.
The coffee shop, of course, is the heart of any office building. It's the place for a quick pick-me-up, light lunch (soup of the day), snacks, and of course it serves as Gossip Central. If anyone wants to know what's going on in the place, all they have to do is ask the proprietor what she's heard that day.

In Fairbanks, the 2nd Amendment Task Force is continuing to have open carry days on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. They're taking what they perceive as the creeping encroachment against the Bill of Rights, particularly the natural law of the right of self-defense, quite seriously. They've already had one meeting with officials of the city, police, borough, State representatives and troopers, as well as the FBI and ATF.
Dang it. I wish there was a branch in Anchorage; Fairbanks is roughly a 325-mile drive from here.

My friend Dana down south in Missouri is concerned that I haven't made a trip to the range in several weeks. The weather hasn't really cooperated, and seems to be in a pattern where it warms up a bit in mid-week, and then turns cold again on the weekends. This, too, shall pass.
Spring is inevitable!

"inevitable"? Yeah, right! Let's also hope it's unending.
I'm getting tired of these teases. Three or four days of really nice, almost spring-like weather followed by a plunge back into the deep freeze.
Now you're teasing us. We haven't seen any warm weather since that strange bout of high 40s and low 50s in late January, when half of the snow melted.
I hope you get a consistent warm-up - it's too soon for that here, but sounds like you could use a break!
