The Red Cross has joined the USGS and the Alaska Volcano Observatory in urging people to be prepared for an eruption "within days or weeks."
Here is a map of the affected area, and a picture from April 1990, during the last eruption. Note that the photographer was approx. 75 miles east of the volcano.

Whoa...I remember talking to someone on the phone(in AK )and he was experiencing an earthquake.I was amazed and he said,"Oh it happens all the time here"...like it was no big deal. THIS looks like a big deal.Stay safe.
WOW! That photo is impressive! Looks like an A-Bomb has just gone off.
I'll echo Cassie's "Stay safe."
We've been at the "it-could-be-any-moment-now" stage for several days, and people are starting to get jittery. I've had tenants calling me all afternoon because of persistent rumors that Redoubt popped its top.
Several tenants and I are staying tuned into http://www.avo.alaska.edu/activity/avoreport.php for updates.
