Saturday Morning

Good morning. It's just below zero at my place, after receiving about 4.4" of fresh snow.

We here in southcentral Alaska are a bit restive, wondering when or if Mt. Redoubt might actually erupt ... and where, if it does, the ash cloud will go. Winds have been a bit changeable, but are calm this morning.

The volcano is "in a state of unrest" according to the Volcano Observatory, which doesn't do much to allay anyone's apprehension. However, they're a fact of life here - although only an intermittent one - and life goes on.

We're supposed to have a high of only eight degrees today, but winds will remain light. I think I'll go to the range and send some precious metal down-range.

I tried to fly the "Friends of Israel" Israeli flag, but couldn't get it to work on my blog. Is there a trick to putting it up? (OR am I just dense?)

Good morning, Cassie.

I added it as an image, and pasted the URL into the "link" window. For the record, I've had trouble importing some things that I've seen on others' blogs, so you're not dense at all ... maybe just less-experienced at it.
